How I operate
A platform wins when the golden path is the fastest path. I ship self-service templates with guardrails built in — not ticket queues that make engineers route around me.
Infrastructure, policy, runbooks, dashboards, even the on-call rotation. If it matters in production, it has a pull request number and a reviewer.
PostgreSQL over the database-of-the-week. Kubernetes where it earns its keep, systemd where it doesn't. Novelty belongs in product code, not in the pager.
Every architecture review has a dollar line next to the latency number. Rightsizing, spot pools, and storage lifecycle rules shipped like any other feature.
